Afro Kinky Curly Wig: Here's Why I Love it

girl wearing lace frontal afro kinky curly wig

Afro Kinky curly wig is one of my favorite human hair textures. It’s quite easy to maintain. All you need is a spray bottle, good hair mousse, your fingers to detangle for daily wear and a monthly wash routine. Like a lot of people, I started out not knowing anything about hair textures, how to take care of them and was completely ignorant about dealing with human hair extensions. I experimented with different hair textures and found myself wasting tons of money dealing with expensive hair that I couldn't maintain. This was before all the Youtube tutorials were popular to learn about hair care. When I stumbled on my first Afro Kinky Curly Wig, it was such a relief not having to do too much to maintain this unit.

If you are not yet convinced on this texture, here are some reasons to love Afro Kinky Curly Wig;⁣⁣

1. It’s a great protective style that mimicks your natural curls. ⁣⁣

Whether you are' team natural' looking for a great protective style or you just don't want a drastic sleek weave that looks nothing like your hair, Afro kinky curly wig is the closest texture to the natural black girl curls. `I can't count how many times, I walked into a Walmart and a stranger compliments my curls or how long my hair looks (lol if only they knew that my natural hair has seen better days). On the days when I feel like looking like a motherland Queen, I rock my wig fro like a champ and make no apologies for my curly awesomeness

2. You can literally get up and go with this wig! It doesn’t need flat ironing or curling.

I reserve curling, styling or going over 10,000 hair prep steps for weekends or special occasions. Let me keep it real y'all, ain't nobody got time to be doing too much on a daily basis. In between errands, work, and meetings, I just want to be up and ready to go. Afro Kinky Curly Wig texture doesn't need too much pampering or schmoozing. Just a quick spray and shake and you are outta the house. I will do another detailed post on the products I use to maintain my kinky curls but my number one mousse to use is the Nairobi mousse. It's quite pricy compared to others in the market but it's worth every penny. You can get a good spray bottle for amazon or any grocery store.

3. Curls stay in place and even look better after wash. ⁣⁣

Afro Kinky Curly Wigs love water. It consumes it, needs it and can't do without it. Water brings out the best in the texture. You don't want to wear your wig for months without a wash, its gonna look janky and just not a pretty sight. Strive for a monthly wash routine with any good conditioner and shampoo. That will keep your curls looks fab all year long. I have had mine for almost 2 years now and when it starts looking like the life is being sucked out of it, all I have to do is wash and voila back to looking new.

4. It’s a great beginner wig for those that don’t have lots of experience styling their hair. ⁣⁣

Whether it's your first wig or you are not great with hairstyling, this style would suit your needs. A close friend of mine absolutely hates doing her hair. She would rather do anything else but get a curling wand or rollers to get her curls popping. She would instead come over to my house so I could help her with it hahaha! Well, curls don't need too much love, they give you all the love instead.

5. It stays looking fab for a VERY long time!!

Need I say more, this is the ultimate reason I have this Afro Kinky Curly Wig in different lengths and patterns. It stands the test of time and stays intact. I do have some customers that have told me that they like the texture but are intimated by the volume of the hair and they like something more simple. If that's you, my friend, they are other good options similar to this texture. You could try the Deep wave or Water wave for a similar look without the volume and all of the benefits.
